February 1st ~ English Folk Magic: The Power of the Field
7:30-9:00pm GMT
This class introduces the practice of magical work with the field; the power that grows when we are profoundly anchored in a specific landscape, place, home and biosphere.
Strengthening our awareness of and collaboration with our unique field’s lore, gnosis and cunning through practices of observation, creating touchstones and harnessing the forces of light, motion and time we build a deeply personal and highly effective foundation for a spiritual and empowered magical life.
Going deeper, we explore techniques from psychogeography and geomancy to help us deepen the map of our specific field, the magical ecotone where we live, evolving our travel through and around it. We reflect on what we have heard from our field and the dialogue we have built with the work over the past 12 months, and what we hope to see grow in the coming period of light.
At this turning point of the year, at times called Candlemas or Imbolc, we tack our deep imaginings to the first stirrings of life, harnessing the powerful tide of the waxing sun.
Suitable for beginners and experienced folk.
