September 16th ~ Of Banes and Curses
7:30-9:00pm GMT
Part of our Magical Practice Series
The grey areas of magic, where morals and mores create friction with desire and power are long understood in the fields of folk magic. In this class we explore some of the archaic approaches to banishings, banes and curses.
Techniques of incantations and spoken muttering, and the making of fith-fath or poppets are as old as the practice of magic itself, and without understanding how these work and when and where they are employed, we self limit the practice of our craft. This class explores how we approach this
This class will cover:
Reversal and protections
Spoken and written curses
Public and private cursing
Making and charging fith-fath and poppets
Morality and magic
You can bring ~ handful of soil or gravel, pen and paper, a candle, a length of black thread.
It is advised that attendees should not be completely new to the study and practice of folk magic.
